Adding support for a new PBX model is done free of charge, even if you haven’t purchased a license yet. All you have to do is follow the instructions below and to send us a sample capture of your PBX unit output.
How to add support for an unsupported PBX model?^
If you have a sample log…^
If you have a sample log captured from the pbx just skip to the emailing section.
If you do not have a sample file…^
First configure the PBX model to send data and choose Panasonic KX-T308 – even if you have another brand or model. Wait to receive some calls. The data received from the PBX unit is stored in a file named: monitor.port that is located in c:\Program Files\PbxTools\ — and please remember that this file is created by the application when it first receives data from the PBX unit.
Before sending the file to us, try to open it in a text editor (like Notepad) and see if there are enough records inside. We need at least 15 records and it is highly recommended to include various types of records like incoming, outgoing, redirects and transfers.
Contacting us^
If this file contains any data please send it to us, along with the information about your PBX. We need to know the following:
- Manufacturer
- Model
- Hardware Revision (Version)
- BIOS/firmware/software Version
- SMDR/CDR settings made to the PBX – important because on many PBX models some of these changes are changing the format of the output data.
Please email it to our support team using the online form. Remember that the above basic model identification information is very important; with out it, we will not be able to add the support for your PBX.
