SMDR using LAN for Panasonic KX-TDE and KX-NCP
This document explains how to configure Panasonic pbx units to send SMDR data via LAN port (TCP/IP). The protocol used is TELNET. Systems Affected: KX-TDE 100/200/600, and KX-NCP 500/1000
- Go to 11.1 Maintenance – Main.
- Set Port to LAN.
- Under Print Information select which items you would like to display in the SMDR Printout
- Click on SMDR Options tab.
- Note the default SMDR Port Number and Password. (These can be changed at you own discretion, but for this document we will use the default settings.)
- Change the report format to Type C, this being the most complete report format.
Configuring the HyperTerminal
This step is optional, you should complete it only if you are not able to configure PbxMon in order to get the data from your unit.
- Open up Hyper Terminal.
- Enter in a Name for the Connection and click OK.
- Set Connect Using to TCP/IP (Winsock).
- Enter Host address. (IPCMPR Card IP Address)
- Set Port number as 2300.
- Click OK.
- Click on File, then Properties.
- Click on Settings Tab.
- Click on ASCII Setup button.
- Check Mark Append line feeds to incoming line ends.
- Click OK, then click OK again.
- Type in SMDR at the cursor.
- Enter Password (PCCSMDR by default).
Configuring the PbxMon
Open PbxMon Options dialog and configure the folowing:
- Port: Remote monitoring
- IP:Address: 192.168.1.100:2300 - use the IP of your PBX and the port configured previously, by default it is 2300.
- Activate monitoring: checked.

Default programming code for panasonic is 1234.
KX-TDA Series : KX-TDA30 KX-TDA50 KX-TDA100 KX-TDA200
If you are willing to use the USB driver for call accounting you must be aware that the original Panasonic USB Driver does not supports this. There are thridparty commercial drivers that could do that. If you are interested please contact us.
Open the KX-TDA Maintenance Console and go to:
- Maintenance > SMDR
- SMDR Type: TYPE C
- Outgoing Call Print: Print
- Incoming Call Print: Print
- Intercom Call Print: Print
- Log-in/Log-out Print: Print
- ARS Dial (Automatic Route Selection): Dial after ARS Modification
- CallerID Print format: Name + Number
- DDI/DID Print format: Name + Number
- Secret Dial: Print dialled number
- Privacy mode: Print Dialled Number
- Date Format: YY-MM-DD - named as international format
- Maintenance > Miscellaneous
- RS-232C: Baud Rate: 19200
- RS-232C: NL Code: CR+LF
- RS-232C: Word Length: 8bit
- RS-232C: Parity Bit: None
- Error Log Information Print: Print
- System > Date & Time
- Change the date and time to current ones.
Now do not forget to configure the right driver for pbxmon: "Panasonic Type C".
KX-TD and KX-TA Series (old models)
- go to the main console (Extension 101) and put it to programming mode by moving the switch on the phone to programming position.
- Press *#xxxx where xxxx if the password for programming. This is usually 1234 or 0000 or 9999. Please do not contact us if you don't know the password because we can't help you. You should contact the one that had installed your PBX.
- [800] - RS-232C Communication Parameters: CR+LF, 9600, 8 bits, mark parity, 1 stop bit.
- [801] - choose 0 (skip perforation)
- [802] - incoming on and outgoing on
- [803] - choose to print the speed dialing
- [805] - choose account code report to be code or index.
- [806] - choose English language reporting
- move the programming switch to the original position
KX-TD and KX-TA Series (very old models)
- The programming switch is located on the PBX unit - open the cover and you'll find it and move it to programming mode.
- [23] - Duration time count star mode: instantly (can be configured in the software)
- [24] - SMDR Communication Parameters: CR+LF, 1200 bps, 7 bits, mark parity, 1 stop bit, 66 lines per page, skip perforation 0.
- [26] - Outgoing: ON, Incoming: ON
- move the programming switch to the original position
