Programming PBX

Access to the system programming zone is restricted to personnel with the "Programming Password". Because it can check the programming steps and information during the programming only LCD Key Phones can be used for programming.

Entering System Programming

On Hook Programming:

  • Step 1. On Hook.
  • Step 2. Press [FUNC] + [#]. System will ask for Programming Password.
  • Step 3. Enter Programming Password. (If password in Program Zone 301-01 is "dd... " then ignore this step.)
  • Step 4. Press [SAVE].
  • Step 5. If the system denies the password a continuous tone will be heard. Press [SPK] to quit the programming

status and restart from Step 2. If the system accepts the password you can now enter the system programming and the LCD phone will display the following message.

  • Step 6. Enter the zone number in which you wish to set the data.
  • Step 7. Press [SAVE] to confirm the setting data and it will be stored in the system memory. The programming will go

on to the next step automatically.

  • Step 8. Press [FUNC] key at any time to return to the main message.

Default password: dddddddd

NOTE 1: 1. The current programming status will be displayed on LCD. 2. There are 16 characters divided by two (2) lines in LCD display. The upper line is the ROGRAMMING STATUS AREA. The lower line is the SETTING DATA AREA.

REVIEW RS232 STATUS (Console Only)

  • Step 1: Handset on Hook.
  • Step 2: Press [TRF/FL] twice (in AV-8/AV-12/AV-38/AV-64/64H), or press [TRF/FL] 3 times (in AV-256).
  • NOTE 22: If system’s RS232 output is locked will display “SMDR is lock”, if system’s RS232

output is unlock will display ‘SMDR is unlock”


  • 304 - Sets system Date and Time and is controlled by the System’s Real Time Clock. Users can see the current date and time displayed on the LCD. (If format of Date for Australian market = dd/mm/yy)

  • 307 - P 2 = 1 - Activate incomming calls
  • 307 - P 4 = 1 - Record unaswered calls
  • 307 - P 7 = 1 - Polarity Reverse - Polarity Reverse is a reverse signal sent from the Central Office after the external called party answers. If the function is enabled the system will start to count the time of the outgoing call after the called party answers.

Description:

  1. Just 1 RS-232 output outlet for this system.
  2. RS-232 must be installed in the A8MBUA.
  3. The jumper(JP1~JP4) should be confirmed to jump to the right place. The jump method please see the description of Chart 4-8 A6RSCA (RS232 Card) Layout.
  4. The installation has been well shown as above chart. Remark: only point No.2~6 on RS232 to be used in AV-20 KTS
